Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about stone countertops — granite, quartz, marble, and the installation process.

Countertop pricing in Utah typically ranges from $40 to $100+ per square foot installed, depending on the stone type (granite, quartz, marble), slab thickness, edge profile complexity, and the layout of your kitchen. We offer free in-home estimates so you'll know your exact cost before committing to anything.

The process has two main steps: first, we visit your home to take a precise template of your space. Then, we fabricate your countertop and return to install it. From template to installation, most projects are completed within 1–2 weeks. The installation day itself usually takes just a few hours for a standard kitchen.

Granite is a natural stone quarried from the earth. Every slab is unique. It's extremely durable, heat-resistant, and adds natural character to your kitchen. Granite does require periodic sealing (about once a year).

Quartz is an engineered stone made from crushed quartz crystals and resin. It's non-porous, so it never needs sealing and is more resistant to staining. It offers a more consistent look and is very popular for busy kitchens.

Both are excellent choices. We're happy to walk you through the options during your free estimate.

Marble is stunning, but it does require more care than granite or quartz. It's softer and more porous, making it susceptible to scratching and staining from acidic foods (like lemon juice or vinegar). That said, many homeowners love the look of a well-loved, naturally patinated marble countertop.

Marble is an excellent choice for bathroom vanities, baking areas, and lower-traffic kitchens. We'll walk you through the pros and cons honestly during your estimate.

Yes, granite is a natural porous stone and should be sealed periodically. We apply an initial seal at installation. After that, we recommend resealing every 1–2 years, depending on your usage. We'll provide guidelines and product recommendations when we're done. This is a simple DIY task that takes about 30 minutes.

Yes, we can remove and dispose of your existing countertops as part of the project. Just let us know during the estimate and we'll factor it into the quote.

Absolutely. Undermount sinks are one of the most popular choices with stone countertops because they look clean and are easy to wipe down. We'll cut the opening to the exact dimensions of your sink. We can also do drop-in, farmhouse/apron, and bar sink cutouts.
